Aidan walked through the market, a redheaded girl glued to his side. His buddies, they had some girls plastered to them as well. The group wandered past stores and booths, not bothering to stop and look at the items for sale because they were on their way to the docks to stir up some trouble. Maybe take a ride in a boat they didn't own, maybe hide some person's supplies in a different boat, who knew. Just something "fun." However, the bunch came to a stop in front of Clayton Riddle's shop when one of the young men asked Aidan, "Hey isn't this that one jerk's place? The guy who flipped out at you?"
Yes, Aidan had told his friends about the incident...or parts of it. All they knew was he was in the store when Clayton came in, pretty drunk, and started shouting at him, threatening to hurt him for no reason. Aidan told them it was probably the alcohol. Of course, there were many more details to that story he hadn't mentioned. "Why don't we trash that place instead?"
"Yeah, that's the place," he answered, glancing at the store as if he thought nothing of it. "And I don't care what we trash, I just want to trash something."
"Let's do it, guys!" his charming friend said, starting for the store.
And Aidan wasn't about to stop him. He was much different from that boy who kissed Felicity the other day. Since then, he had been beaten for talking to her, therefore realizing how stupid it was to go through whippings to stay with a girl who couldn't even give him what he wanted, seeing as she was fourteen. He was back to his usual self, the self that talked back to adults. The self that jumped to a different girl nearly every night. The self that loved stirring up trouble. The self that could look at the store where the girl he had very strong feelings for worked and pretend it wasn't important. The self that didn't care if his friends completely trashed said store.
Yeah, Aidan had changed.
(haha I had some fun with the title XD)
