Description: Howi is a fair sized teenager that does not fit well in his district and would be better off in a district that requires a lot of heavy lifting. He starts at six foot, two inches so this means he is not one of the people in the trees picking fruit. He also weighs in at around one hundred and ninety pounds which is another reason why he can not work in the trees. Like most of his district he has dark golden skin because of their jobs being outside almost twenty for seven. Howi also has dark brown hair that is sort of shaggy but it does not effect his line of sight from natural copper colored eyes.
Personality: Howi is a hard worker and will do just about anything to make money. There was a point in time when he would steal pieces of fruit from work and hide them in his pants which used to be two sizes to big but stopped when he was twelve because he could finally sign up for tessarae. Now a days Howi finds himself stressing out about putting food on the table for his two younger brothers, sickly mother and their crippled father. He also spends a lot of time working on plans that would get him out of the Hunger Games alive if it came to his name being pulled. Though he's not the fastest on his feet he is pretty good at combat and throwing objects a long distance.
History: Most people out side of his family do not know this but Howi originally had a twin brother that was born just minutes after himself. Though after a week of being alive his brother, Jay died of sickness. This was hard on on his parents at first but they had to keep pushing on just to get food on the table. Most of the time while growing up Howi was strapped onto his mothers back while she climbed the orchard trees picking fruit. Thus he was bestowed a love for nature at an early start. When he was about eight his mother was pregnant again but his father was in a terrible accident that crippled him. So Howi started working like most of his friends at a young age just to help put food on the table. His mother once again had twins and they both happened to be boys once again. During this is when Howi started to steal from the orchard just to make sure everyone was getting fed. He had been caught once and that was the worst thing ever. So many lashes by the whip didn't keep him from working. Despite the pain he pushed forwards because he knew his family needed food. Now his brothers the age of nine are also starting to work but Howi still finds himself working long shifts in the orchards just to keep them healthy.
