Everyone knows the tale of Tohru Honda -- of how she met the Sohma Family. Healed them one by one. And fell in love with The Cat, which broke the Zodiac curse.
It has been generations since then, and over the years, Sohmas have migrated throughout the world, free of the bond that tied them all together. Now, however, the curse has mysteriously returned and so has its god. It has come to pass that this generation of Sohmas are fleeing back to Japan, because they must. Because of the everlasting bond. Because they have forgotten the tale of Tohru Honda -- and they no longer know the cure to the curse. And this time, it may take something more than falling in love with the Cat to break it forever . . .
Yet, Unbeknownst to them is another family who also holds a curse. A curse much different than the Zodiac, it is a curse that inflicts upon the one that is embraced rather than the embracer, that affects the un-cursed rather than the cursed. This family, the Sanu family, has resided in Japan for as long as they can remember. Twelve members are cursed with the spirits of the Elements, including their own god, and, like the Sohma family, they have hidden their curse from the rest of society. But this family has never had their curse broken. Ever. And is desperately seeking its remedy -- or, at least, some of the members are.
Now, both families come into conflict with an outsider, one separate from the other, who discovers their secret curse. Mysteriously, neither Family Head orders the erasure of these outsiders' memories, but instead, allows the humans to keep them as long as the secret is concealed from the rest of the world. And, yet, there is also a third outsider -- one who knows of both famies' curses, but remains undiscovered to the families themselves. This outsider, unlike the one of the Sohma Family or the one of the Sanu Family, plans to use their concealed knowledge of each curse against the families in a diabolical manner to receive a self-satisfactory result.
Still, the families have yet to meet. Both are still searching for a cure to their own curse that forever plagues them, and each struggling with an outsider knowing their secret. . . and they have yet to know of the diabiological outsider whom is plotting against them.
New Lives. New Loves. Now Foes. New Friends.
It's A New Generation. But The Curse Lasts Forever.
