I really want to talk about music 8D

Music is my thing. It's my obsession, it's what I live. Soooo. I wanted to compare my tastes with everyone else's xD

My first love was always alternative rock and pop punk xD (bless ^^) but I grew up musically over the years and got more into alt. pop like FATM and stuff, which is what influences the material I write. SPEAKING OF WHICH. If and when I put my album on iTunes, you're all buying it >D kay? Currently I only play live, I haven't done any recording 'cause I prefer doing gigs but I'm hoping to get some stuff out there soon ^^

Anyway. After the alternative rock came metal and metalcore, of course. I'm pretty sure I'll always love BMTH.

I also got into ska-punk and cuban ska, along with a bit of reggae, which is amazing. And after that, my obsession with classical music came about. I'm primarily a violinist/classical singer, alongside other insturment's that I'm dreadful at, so it was always a thing for me xD I particularly love Vivaldi, and renaissance and early choral music.

THEN came dubstep, particularly Skrillex. What I love about dubstep is the same as what I love about metalcore. They're very similar types of music, surprisingly, just with different timbre. I'd already had a bit of a thing for some drum 'n' bass, so it was an easy step for me to love dubstep. My favourite dubstep track NOT by Skrillex would have to be 'Go' by Delilah.

I still really love all that alt. rock stuff, but to be honest that love kind of evolved into a taste for post-hardcore music ^^ post-hardcore and screamo bands are the best live bands by far.

I listen to different things, but usually it's pop or (don't laugh) country. But the reason I listen to country is cuz my parents always have it on, and it's kind of grown on me (though I still like pop better). But lately it seems like there's only a couple good country songs lol. Or maybe I'm just starting to not like it as much? I think I'm kind of in the middle of switching interests, so that might explain a bit.

I LOVE playing classical music on piano! ^.^ Though it's also fun playing pop songs from the radio on piano too, but old classical is fun. :) Beethoven is one of my favorites, but Chopin is up there too (I think he's classical?). I like Mozart, but I kind of...connect more with Beethoven and Chopin's songs for some reason. Probably because some of the songs I played by Mozart had big sections of just going up and down different scales. Though it does sound pretty cool, it's not as easy to connect with lol. OH and Bach is pretty amazing, too.

Changing subjects, I REALLY wish I was an amazing singer. People say I'm good, and I don't think I'm terrible, but I just wish I would have a really awesome voice, ya know? Mine is just...plain or something. ANYWAY I really wish I could sing better because I LOVE to sing, but I can't do it if anyone else is in the house cuz I don't have that much confidence. XD

Ummm...I think that's all I wanted to say. I guess we don't have too much in common music-taste-wise. =/ Although I do like practically any kind of music if the songs are catchy or sound cool. ^.^ Oh and I PROMISE I will buy your album! :D

Weirdly enough, I never got into country at all xD it's not really a part of the culture here. I like some world music though, 'cause my aunty listens to a lot of latin stuff and cuban ska and the like.

Chopin is lovely! I'm pretty sure he's romantic, but 'classical' can be used as a generic term anyway xD Do you like Liszt?

Anyone can sing xD by the end of next year I'll be a qualified singing teacher so you can ask me for tips I used to be very much like that 3: it's all about confidence, though. Maybe you should try getting lessons or something? There's some good tutorials and stuff on youtube as well.

YES I like Liszt! :D I've been trying to decide what song by him I should play on piano...do you have any suggestions? Maybe I could learn it after I finish piano lessons this summer and record it and play it for you :D

Lol well I do kind of have a confidence problem XD like with basketball...and writing...and singing... XD but I would love to get some singing tips from you cuz I would really like to get better! :D

I really like Christina Grimmie and how she takes requests and posts them on YouTube and stuff :) it would be cool if you did something like that and became famous :O and then I'd actually know a famous person! XD

Yeah 99% of the time I don't even listen to the lyrics (unless it's a song with really cute and sweet lyrics like I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz :3), I just listen to the music and the melody and stuff. Otherwise I probably wouldn't like 3OH!3. X)
