Description: trae is of medium stature, standing at a height of around five foot six. her hips, waist, and shoulders fit her petite height perfectly. from working out in the fields for most of the day, she's in good shape, with lean muscles outwardly visible through well-tanned skin. she walks tall, almost struts. she has long, wavy dark hair that she rarely brushes, preferring the way it looks when messy. her eyes are a greyish blue color, depending on the light they can look a gentle sky blue or a cloudy light grey. the bridge of her nose and tops of her cheeks are speckled with light freckles.
Personality: trae is, for all intensive purposes, a bad girl. she always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, doing the worst possible thing. even as a child, she was constantly in trouble. trae liked it -- the attention and the stares. she quickly got a reputation. still, though, she's a very nice girl to those she likes. which are great in numbers. she's so un-judgemental and empathetic that she automatically makes a good friend. She is well liked by her peers -- but definitely not by their parents. her reputation for being in trouble is wide. she's very confident in herself, walks tall. and she's constantly happy, up for anything. trae is also a bit of a smartass; when she was young it got her a few slaps from peacekeepers and teachers alike -- it never bothered her, though, it was as if each time she got in trouble she got a little more famous in district 11. at home, she spends the vast majority of her time drawing, but it isn't often that she's at home. trae also chooses not to bother herself with larger issues, like the Hunger Games. she finds that they muddle up her fun-loving mind with things she'd rather not think about.
History: trae was raised in a completely normal home. her parents aren't perfect, but they love their daughters -- taiya and trae -- very much. trae is extremely close to taiya, her twin and her best friend, her favorite person in the world. taiya is in trae's very first memory, and almost all of the ones after that. but taiya's always been the sickly twin. while trae made herself a reputation as district 11's troublemaker, taiya was at home, resting. it's been a source of intense guilt over the years. not only has trae stolen some of taiya's much-needed attention by purposefully getting in trouble (at the tender age of 17, she got in enough trouble for one of those public whippings and now has three long scars on her back), but taiya has not been able to be a big part of the fun. not only that, but trae is terrified of losing her sister, who seems to be sick all the time these days. still, things are better now. when they were young, their family was poor. now that everyone can work, they almost never go hungry.
