Jack Danial Miller
Name: Jack Miller
Nicknames: I go by Jack only.
Gender: Male
Age: 19
District: District 7
Job: I cut down the trees that will be turned into paper or building supplies and from time to time I'll help build houses.
Description: My name is Jack Miller and in my opinion I'm a pretty handsome guy. I stand at about six foot, five inches but I'm certainly not as tall as my dad who used to tower over me as a kid. Although part of that was due to the fact of being a kid. Now however he has started to shrink so I might catch up to him before he passes. I'm not sure how much I weigh anymore because we rarely weigh ourselves in the district but last time I weighed in I was at one hundred and twenty five. Although that was close to four years ago so I can't say I weigh that anymore. I used to be pretty flawless for a guy, but now I have scars from being in the arena of the seventy-six games. I never thought much of what would happen while I was in there and I honestly didn't expect to come back out alive. Before I entered the games I kept my hair brown longer than it is now but now I've been getting it cut. Like most people I can't see my own eyes unless I look into a reflective object. Others how ever comment on my brown eyes and there are so many snake like comments about people like brown eyes. I am not full of anything people.
Personality: Well I've heard from several people that I've turned into a cocky, stuck up brat since I've won the games but I don't see how. I mean I still go out and work while sometimes building houses for those who need them. When I'm not working wandering through town looking for something to do. Generally people stop and talk to me about what it was like. I like the attention I get sometimes because its the most attention I've gotten in my life. However sometimes it gets annoying specially when some of the teenagers want a fight just to see if they are tough. Someone told me a few weeks ago that I've become rather hot headed after I got into a fight with some drunken fool. Not really sure who he was but I don't see him anymore.
History: I was an only child growing up with a single mother. She never told me who my father was while I grew up but I met him after being reaped. The fact I met my father when I had pretty much been set on my death bed pissed me of. I guess that is what pushed me through to the final man standing. Anyways I'll tell you more about that later. I was born on July fourth which used to celebrate the United States Independence. Sadly now that day is just another day because our Capitol isn't in Washington anymore but that doesn't matter I guess. My mom and I had a hard time the first couple years because she really couldn't work while raising me. From time to time she would clean laundry for people but that wasn't enough. She resorted to stealing from the market which was a risky chance. When I was five she got caught for stealing an apple and the game was over. She had become the example that the peacekeepers would use for the increase in stealing. After that I was put in an orphanage which was terrible. Kids were mean to me 'specially the older ones. I would get wedgies and they would throw me around like I was a football. When I was eight I really started to fight back against my bullies but they to grew stronger. During one of my fights I broke my nose. After that I just let people do what ever because I knew I was useless to the district. When I was fifteen though I prayed to some fatherly figure that I wouldn't be picked. Then I was and I figured I would be one of the first dead. During the time I of goodbye I spoke to my best friend Amber, one of the boys in the orphanage, Drake and I met my father, our conversation was short because I had to get going. While out and about I learned a lot about the other tributes, most of them ten times my size. I had a lot of fun training for the first week but once in the arena I was afraid. Darien, the girl from my district, formed a pack with me just so we could protect each other but she died on day three after a Career through a knife into her eye. I didn't want to leave her but if I wanted to live another day I had to, so I ran fast and far. One day four, half of the tributes were dead but the other half were strong and still out to kill. Most of the time I hide in the caves with an ax because I was to afraid to actually kill anyone. On day fifteen, 20 tributes were alive and I was against three Careers. My odds of living were slim to none but I knew I couldn't hide anymore. I found weapons that were left by some of the dead tributes and went at it. On day twenty it was down to me and a girl, Ruby I believe her name was. She was strong and quicker than I. We fought hand to hand but of course like most people, she was a dirty fighter. It was the longest fight of my life but I had one after hitting her with my axe. The life drained out of her so fast I felt this sudden wave of guilt. But I think the worst part of the games was the massive knife would she had left in me. The Capitols doctors fixed me up though and sent me back home. Since then I went on the victory tour which was terrible since I had to face all the family and friends of those who died in the game. Now I continue to work along the people of my district and help those that I can.
