Description: Maya is a cute little girl, but when I say little, I mean little. She's around 3 feet, 7 inches in height and pretty skinny, but her arms and legs have a fair amount of muscle in them because she loves to climb and play. Maya's mom is Hispanic and she got a lot of features from her, like her jet black hair and her deep, dark brown eyes. Her skin, however, comes from her dad, who was white. That was all she got from her dad in physical features, though. Her personality, on the other hand, is a different story.
Personality: Maya is also a nice little girl who loves to meet other people and make new friends. She likes playing outside, and she is often found playing with a large group of kids her age, both girls and boys, because she makes friends so easily. She gets that from her Dad, who was also very good at befriending people. Maya is also very curious and adventurous, and just like her dad, this gets her in trouble sometimes. But no one has the heart to punish her for too long, for she is such a sweet and loving little girl, you can't help but love her back. Maya doesn't know much about the Hunger Games other than the fact that it's bad, but one day she'll learn exactly how terrible it is. On that day, the adventurous part of her will lead her in to deeper trouble than that of her childhood, and nothing will be able to stop her from standing up to the Capitol.
History: Maya has really enjoyed her short life so far. She loves her family, made up of five people including her: her mom, her dad, her oldest brother Marcus, and the middle child Monica. She loves every one of them, but she has a special bond with her father. It might be because she sees him the least, or it might just be because of how similar their personalities are, but he's Maya's best friend, and she couldn't love any one of her friends her age as much as she loves him. However, she doesn't get to see her father much because he is always traveling to the Capitol for work. When he comes home, though, Maya always runs into his arms and greets him with a big hug. Those nights, Maya's family always has a feast, and they're the happiest nights of Maya's short life.
