Description: Brody reaches the average height of six feet two inches. He is not scrawny, but he could also never measure up to the large Careers of districts one, two, and four. Brody's hair is a dirty blonde while his eyes are a light shade of brown. His skin is lightly tanned after walking in the sun for hours on end searching for a job to support his family. Brody's eyes are often narrowed and his face normally does not give away any emotions to strangers. Around friends, however, Brody's eyes light up and his smile becomes contagious. He has a scar running down the right side of his chest, but few people know about it. Brody wears simple clothes and he is not a fan of buying new clothes. Much of his wardrobe is worn with a few tears after so much use. Brody's hands are worn after going through work after work, trying to make enough money to help his large family. He walks with a slight limp, but it is normally not noticeable unless one were to watch him very closely.
Personality: After a rough childhood, Brody has become more cautious around strangers. He is very loyal and protective of both friends and family, but towards strangers he may seem distant and cold. Brody has a habit of sticking up for the underdog and sees pride as the worst fault. He appreciates everything he owns and tries not to take anything for granted. Brody is often over protective of his sisters because he tries to replace their lost father figure. He hates violence, but has been involved in a few scuffles. After living in a household with so many girls, Brody has learned that the best way to impress a lady is to be a gentleman and because of this he strives to be as much of a gentleman as possible. Even though he works hard to be polite to girls, Brody is not much of a flirt and the girls that normally claim his focus are his sister. He prefers to be around a small group of close friends rather than a large group of people he hardly knows. Brody does have trust issues, but once he allows someone into his life, he is loyal to the end. He has never been the top of his class, but Brody knows about survival and working hard for what he needs. Brody hates the Hunger Games, but feels there is nothing he can do to prevent them. After all, he is just trying to support his family and get through life.
History: Brody was the first child to Marie and Jae Starks. He now lives with his mother and three younger sisters. When the youngest of his sisters was only one years old, Brody's father began drinking. As Jae Starks sunk further into alcoholism, he became more and more violent. Soon, he began to physically and verbally abuse the other members of the family. Brody, being the only male of the household other than his father, felt that he had to protect his younger sisters and mother. One day, his father was in an especially foul mood since the family had thrown out all the alcohol. Jae Stark went after Brody's youngest sister, Isabella. Brody, only ten at the time, tried his best to pull his father away from the infant. His father caused him the scar that runs down his chest as well as the limp. Neighbors finally managed to get assistance from the Peacekeepers and Jae was taken away. The family has not seen Jae since that day and he was most likely taken to the Capitol to become an Avox. Without a father figure in the household, Brody's mother, Marie, must work hard in a small shop. Now that he is eighteen, Brody has begun searching for a job so that he can help his mother support their family. Brody's main goal is to keep his three sister; Marigold, Lorikeet, and Isabella, safe. He can do nothing, however, against the biggest threat: the Hunger Games.
